SD faculty members Dr. Anatoli Ignatov and Dr. Jacqui Ignatova, together with University for Development Studies, Ghana, faculty member Dr. Helen Akolgo-Azupogo, have published an article titled, "The Contested Politics of Intergenerational Land and Gender Justice," in Ghana Studies. The authors of the article analyze to what extent "recent policy efforts to reform land administration and agricultural systems in Ghana consider intergenerational and gender equity and justice" and suggest "avenues to address the shrinking commons, through appreciating the ecological and intergenerational dependence of humans on Nature and enshrining future generations and Nature with legal rights." According to the journal's website, "Ghana Studies is the journal of the Ghana Studies Association, an international affiliate of the African Studies Association. Published annually, Ghana Studies strives to provide a forum for cutting edge original research about Ghana’s society, culture, environment, and history."
