Appalachian State has much to offer for academic and/or emotional support.  Find out more and utilize the many servies listed below:

Office of Disability Services (ODS): ODS assists eligible students, faculty, staff and visitors with disabilities by determining and coordinating reasonable academic or workplace accommodations.

Learning Assistance Program: provides academic services to students who face unique challenges, such as student athletes, first-generation students, low- income students, non-traditional students and students with disabilities.

Counseling Services: The Counseling Center offers the opportunity for all currently-enrolled students to meet with a counselor to determine the most appropriate course of treatment, at no charge.

University Writing Center: offers free services to students on a wide variety of projects: papers for academic courses; masters and senior thesis chapters; personal essays for job, graduate school, and law school applications; creative writing projects; grant or project proposals; and course syllabi. We work with writers at any stage of the writing process, from inventing topics to editing at the sentence-level.
