International internships

For international internships, students must complete additional application requirements. To learn about these requirements, visit the Office of International Education and Development (OIED) website, explore the "steps to take" for international study, and meet with a study abroad advisor in the OIED office located in I. G. Greer Hall. International internships must be certified by the OIED. Students must complete the required online application, purchase international health and accident insurance as required by the University of North Carolina system, attend a mandatory pre-departure orientation session, and pay a $100 administrative fee. NOTE: You should not wait until you have completed the rest of your internship paperwork to begin this process. If you would like to do an internship abroad, contact the Office of International Education and Development to begin this process as soon as possible!
